KVH makes driverless transportation technology platforms.  Precision sensor systems are critical components in driverless vehicles. Motion-sensing technologies, inertial measurement units (IMUs), and gyros are coupled with such systems as high frequency radar, LIDAR (light detection and ranging system), and cameras to detect obstacles and objects, and maintain a fixed distance between cars. Many high-profile R&D programs have determined that KVH gyros and IMUs are ideal solutions for a variety of reasons.
